We’re Matt and Natalie, proud joint owners of our camping and glamping site in Somerset – your friendly, welcoming hosts at The Den and Orchard.
We’re keen campers ourselves, so when we started running the business in September 2023 we knew exactly what we wanted to offer our guests to make their stay with us – whether under canvas, in a motorhome or in one of our quirky collection of accommodation options – as comfortable, convenient and memorable (in a good way!) as possible.
We’re delighted to say we seem to have succeeded, because to date we’ve earned nothing but glowing reviews from websites like Pitchup.com (currently scoring a 9.7 rating) – and plenty of smiles from our happy campers.
Of course, it helps that our holiday park is located in a beautiful part of the country on the Wiltshire/Somerset border, within reach of some of the UK’s most scenic, exciting and historic attractions. It’s difficult not to have a great time when you stay with us, particularly because our rates are very reasonable, our facilities first class, and we’ve got a clubhouse and seasonal take-away outlet on site.
We’re on the doorstep of the renowned Somerset town of Frome, best known for its medieval streets lined with independent shops, fantastic monthly street market and annual cultural and arts festival.
When we started out to turn The Den & Orchard into a destination for those who love a peaceful, relaxed and family-friendly place to stay in Somerset, we drew up a list of company values which continue to guide us:

We welcome guests of all ages and stages at the family-friendly Den and Orchard, which means at the height of the season we have a jolly inter-generational set of campers enjoying our hospitality on site.
We take the attitude of the more the merrier, but when the park is busy, we do have to have some policies to abide by and limits in place to make sure everyone has a good time.
